Product Overview

Our dual‑shaft screw conveyor, also known as twin auger conveyor or double screw feeder, is specially‑designed heavy‑duty feeding & conveying equipment for difficult‑flow biomass raw materials in biomass pellet production lines.

Different from ordinary single‑shaft screw conveyors, it adopts two parallel counter‑rotating spiral shafts. It is excellent for wet sawdust, sticky wood chips, straw, rice husk and other bridging‑prone raw materials. It realizes silo bottom forced discharging, material breaking‑up, mixing and continuous conveying all‑in‑one. It effectively solves common pain points: material arching, bridging, blockage and uneven feeding caused by high‑moisture biomass materials. Widely installed under raw material silos, between hammer mills and dryers in pellet plants. Can work independently or integrate into full‑auto biomass pellet production lines.

Working Principle

Two spiral shafts run synchronously through gear‑box synchronous drive unit. The left‑hand and right‑hand spiral blades rotate towards each other. Materials enter the U‑shaped trough, and are continuously sheared, stirred and pushed forward by twin spiral flights. Clumped and bridged materials are broken up inside the trough. Raw materials are forced to discharge evenly without dead zones. Optional frequency‑conversion motor adjusts rotation speed to accurately control feeding capacity according to real‑time pellet‑plant production requirements.

Flexible Speed Regulation & Stable Feeding Optional variable‑frequency drive system, stepless adjustment of feeding volume. Maintain steady material supply for subsequent processing equipment, avoid feed fluctuation which affects pellet quality.

FAQs

Our pellet mill processes wood sawdust, wood chips, straw, rice husk, peanut shell, bamboo dust, fruit tree branches and other biomass waste. Different dies are available for various feedstock. Raw materials should be crushed to 3‑5 mm with moisture 10‑15% for premium‑quality pellets. A dryer is required for high‑moisture materials.
