FAQs

Products & Raw Materials

Our pellet-making machine processes wood sawdust, wood chips, straw, rice husks, peanut shells, bamboo powder, fruit tree branches, and other biomass waste. Various types of dies are available to suit different raw materials. To produce premium-quality pellets, the raw material must be ground to a size of 3–5 mm and have a moisture content of 10–15%. A dryer is required for materials with high moisture content.

High-quality woody material does not require a binding agent. Pellets form naturally due to the lignin content under high temperature and pressure. Straw-like materials are more difficult to process into pellets; in some cases, a small amount of additive may be required. We will provide recommendations based on the specific raw materials you are using.

Moisture content >18%: pellets become crumbly, form poorly, and are prone to mold.
Moisture content <8%: high wear, low production output, and frequent clogging.
Optimal moisture content: 10–15%. If the raw material’s moisture content falls outside this range, the use of a hammer mill and a rotary dryer is recommended.

‑ Ring-die pellet machine: for medium- to large-scale industrial plants; supports continuous 24-hour operation, offers high production capacity and a long service life, and is ideal for commercial pellet facilities.

‑ Flat-die pellet machine: for small workshops and home use; requires a lower investment but is not designed for prolonged, continuous production. We will recommend the best model to suit your production targets, available space, and budget.

Selection & Solutions

Basic set: hammer mill + pellet mill.
Full automatic production line: hammer mill → dryer → pellet mill → cooler → sieve → packing machine, with conveyor, dust‑removal and electric control system. Configuration can be adjusted as required.

UTo prepare an accurate proposal, please provide the following information:

type of raw material; 2. target hourly output; 3. raw material moisture content; 4. local voltage and frequency; 5. workspace (workshop) dimensions; 6. budget.

Our technical team will provide an equipment list, layout drawings, and a budget estimate free of charge. Material testing services are also available at our factory.

Our industrial ring-die pellet machines support continuous 24-hour operation, provided that proper raw material preparation and routine maintenance of wear parts (dies and rollers) are carried out. Small flat-die models are not recommended for continuous operation.

Yes. The motor can be adapted to local voltage and frequency (380V/415V/440V, 50Hz/60Hz) for various countries.

Costs depend on production capacity and configuration. Small-scale standalone machines start at a few thousand USD; small- to medium-scale complete production lines range from tens of thousands of USD; while large-scale automated lines entail higher costs. Please provide your production capacity requirements to receive an official quotation.

Installation, Training & After-Sales Service

How will the equipment be installed? Will you send engineers to the overseas site?

A comprehensive English manual, electrical diagrams, and an operation video are provided; local technicians can complete the installation.

12-month warranty on the main machine (excluding consumables such as ring dies, rollers, blades, etc.). Free replacement parts for damage caused by quality defects (excluding misuse) during the warranty period. Lifetime technical support and spare parts supply.

Common wear parts are in stock and can be shipped together with the main machine. For separate orders, air shipping takes 7–15 days, while sea shipping takes 30–45 days.

Remote technical support via WhatsApp or Zoom video calls for rapid troubleshooting. 24/7 online technical consultation.

Solution to problem

What causes the formation of poor-quality and loose pellets?

Common causes: incorrect raw material moisture content; improper die-roller gap; raw material particle size too large; worn die. Adjust the moisture content or gap, or replace the die according to the guidelines.

Causes: excessive moisture, excessively high feed rate, hard impurities in the raw material, and clogged die holes. Stop the machine for cleaning, reduce the feed rate, screen the raw material, and perform maintenance on the die. Never restart the machine under a heavy load.

Actual production output is influenced by the type of raw material, moisture content, particle size, and operator skill. Rated production capacity is based on the use of standard-compliant wood sawdust. Output will be lower if raw materials such as straw, tree bark, or similar substances are used; we will provide an estimate of the capacity beforehand.
